Since being certified as a an Anger Management Specialist II, completing training for Domestic Violence Abusers and Victims and earning a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling; I’ve helped clients identify poor coping skills, counterproductive behaviors and unchallenged perspectives. I have combined research, trainings, certifications and best practices to work with clients holistically from a bio-psycho-social approach. I use evidence based trainings and theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Brief Therapy to assist clients in changing the course of their lives. I believe my clients have the ability to thrive when given a safe place to explore where they have been and who they hope to become. A realistic approach to wellness that promotes new behaviors, new experiences and breaking down barriers.

What can you expect with me as your counselor?
I am human too. I have found that my clients appreciate my ability to discuss how Stress, Loss, Anxiety, Anger, Confusion, Joy, Pride and Love has been a part of my story too. Just like you I have had to learn resiliency, how to manage negative self talk, manage anger and change my behavior. I do not have a magic wand but what I do have is a very empathetic ear and possibly a few tools or skills you have yet to try. Let’s get to work!
